Saving Youtube video and music

Want a way to save Youtube videos and/or music? Check out this comparison of various programs/websites that allow you to do this.

Personally, I use this site for my MP3 conversions at the moment.

Why the dances spotlighted on this site are put on this site

Someone commented that I don't have a "top ten" list or showcase lots of dances here. Here is the skinny:

When there is time in my schedule, I will look through an average of 30-40 dances in a sitting. I'll view the step sheets and watch the videos for the dances and then post only the ones I think "have it". The choreographer's name never enters into the equation. Whether the dance is on list A, B, or C never enters into the equation. Newer dances tend to get looked at more, but older dances get a gander as well. This web page is where I post the dances that I would like to dance to and teach to others.

If you agree with my choices, Yay!

If you don't agree with my choices, Yay! also because it exposes more dances to the line dancing community and doesn't fixate us on only a few dances.

You Don't Love Me (You Dirty Rat)

You Don't Love Me (You Dirty Rat)
Choreographer: Larry Hayden
Description: 32 count - 4 wall - Intermediate level line dance
Music: "You Don’t Love Me" by Caro Emerald

I taught this when it first came out a couple of years ago, and it might be time to reteach it to my new class.

Sultry

Sultry
Choreographer: Rob Fowler
Description: 64 count - 2 wall - Intermediate level line dance
Music: "Perfidia" by John Altman (Shall We Dance soundtrack)

Here we are going from a dance that's been out for a bit to one that's sparkly new. You owe it to yourself to watch the video, get excited, and go learn the dance!

Big Spender

Hey Big Spender
Choreographers: Jo & John Kinser
Description: 32 count - 4 wall - Beg/int level line dance
Music: "Big Spender" by Dame Shirley Bassey

Dance matches the music well. I like this. Though it's not "the newest" or on the current "top ten" charts, that doesn't change the fact that it's a fun dance.

Ooh La La

Ooh La La
Choreographer: Kim Ray
Description: 32 count - 4 wall - intermediate level line dance
Music: "Ooh La La" by Emilia Mitlku

The song Ooh La La is such a GREAT song! I've been listening to it constantly the last few days. Kim's dance is a fun little dance that works with the song. Check the video out!
