Regional Line Dance Workshop Review

From Susan:

Thanks to Diane Hargett for hosting the NC Regional Line Dance Workshop at Wyse Fork Community Building in Dover, NC last Saturday, September 14. There was good food and good fellowship as usual. Thanks to all our participants who attended especially the ladies who came all the way from Leland, NC and Myrtle Beach to attend and to our instructors for picking fabulous dances to teach.

Dances taught in the Beginner Session:
You Got That Thang by Rachael McEnaney taught by Diane Hargett of Dover
Love Me or Leave Me by Frank Trace taught by Bonnie Mathews of Durham
Sleep by Kate Sala taught by Karla Stith from Jacksonville

Dances taught in the Intermediate /Advanced Session:
Loving Tonight by Dan Albro taught by BC Beach of New Bern

Follow Me by Darren Bailey, Raymond Sarlemijn, and Fred Whitehouse taught by Brenda Smith of Roxboro

The Regional Workshop Instructors met after the workshop to discuss the results of the survey which was sent out to participants. These are the definite items we decided upon from the survey results for our Intermediate/Advanced Session:
  1. Teach 4 dances (1 easy Intermediate, 2 Intermediate, 1 Intermediate/Advanced
  2. Review dances taught during the workshop
  3. More time for open dancing
  4. 6 weeks between each regional if possible
  5. Continue to bring food to share
